About George Traikos


George Traikos is a real estate developer and builder living in South Florida since 2001. He is currently leading several development projects in Miami-Dade and the redevelopment of the Rochester (NY) Academy Building, a landmark with local historical significance.

George Traikos has had a successful series of projects in his real estate career, where he demonstrated the acumen and attention to the details that are necessary to make a project lucrative. His investment philosophy combines operational daring with financial conservatism.

As a real estate investor, George acquired multifamily income properties and managed them for substantial increases in cash flow. His preference for value-added situations created significant value for the investors, on the order of 40% annual compounded pre-tax return on investment. George also oversaw the successful condominium conversion and marketing of a townhouse community (VanderbiltParkCondo.com). When completed later this year, the project is expected to yield a pretax return on investment of 32% per year.

George Traikos is a licensed real estate Broker. His professional credentials include extensive training in Tax Deferred (1031) Exchanges, Real Estate Investments, Property Management, Financing, and Taxation. George earned his Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation in 2005 and is one approximately 2,000 such designees in the entire country. George is also a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. A CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate.

George also owns a property management company which manages real estate investments and oversees pre-marketing repairs and renovations for owned and client properties.

George is a member of the Society of Commercial Realtors® and the Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAGFL), the Florida Association of Realtors®, the National Association of Realtors®. George has served on the RAGFL International Real Estate Council.

Prior to moving to South Florida, George lived in Brazil, where he owned a multi-million dollar synthetic yarn importation and distribution company. He worked for Booz, Allen and Hamilton Management Consultants in both New York and São Paulo, Brazil.

George Traikos earned a Bachelor of Science from BGSU, an MBA from the Wharton School and a Master of Science in Engineering from the Moore School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Besides English, George is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and Greek.
